Lady Mustangs Winning Week

The Varsity Mustangs brought their district matches to an end last week by beating ESK!  Way to go Varsity!

The JV Mustangs finished off their district matches last week as well.  JV was on a winning streak, beating ESK, Kings, and St. Mary's.  Escher and Cionfolo helped the team by getting their serves on some very important points.  Cain and Ezzo both led the team in attacks, assisted by their two setters Vanderhoofven and Purcell.   The JV girls are doing a great job of playing as a team and helping each other stay positive, even after a mistake.  All of the girls have stepped up their level of play - and it shows!  Great Job JV!!!

Varsity Mustangs Win Big

The Lady Mustangs accepted a challenge tonight and played up a division against Cedar Bluff Middle School. The Varsity Mustang team played extremely well, winning the match in 2 games. Hale stepped up and iced the win with 13 consecutive serves! Way to go Varsity and good luck tomorrow night against Apostolic.

The JV Mustangs also had 2 star servers in their games against Cedar Bluff. Ezzo and Purcell both had 10 consecutive serves, helping their team win 1 out of 3 games. The whole team put up a great fight and lost the match by just 2 points! The JV Mustangs have come a long way this season and their hard work is starting to pay off.

JV Mustangs Still Undefeated!

JV had a quick win last Wednesday night against St. Joseph.  In the first game, #22 served 18 serves in a row!  After a great practice on Thursday, the JV team is ready for a tough week ahead.  JV has 3 consecutive home games next week, where they will be up against some competitive teams.  Good Luck JV!!

Varsity will also be playing Grace and MCS next week at home.  The Varsity Volleyball team has a lot of talent and some excellent power hitters.  The Varsity games are a whole lot of fun to watch, so come out and enjoy the game.  We hope to see you there!

Varsity Mustangs Serving It Up

The Varsity Volleyball team for SJN has won 2 out of the first 3 matches of the season.  Last week, the girls played a double header against Sacred Heart and CAK.  SJN beat the undefeated Eagles of Sacred Heart in the first match of the night, but struggled in match #2 against CAK and ended up with their first loss of the season.

Tomorrow night will be a busy night in the SJN gym.  The Varsity girls will be playing Webb at 4:30 and JV plays St. Joseph at 6:00 pm.  We would love to have some SJN students at the game to cheer us on!
